Questions & Answers
Who am I agreeing with?
These terms are between you and Calverra Holdings LLC, the company that operates WorryTree. WorryTree was previously operated by WorryTree Ltd. The app was called Luma from September 2025 to October 2026.
Email: hello@worry-tree.com
Postal address: Calverra Holdings LLC, 2631 Housley Road, PMB 1301, Annapolis, Maryland 21401, United States.
These terms explain how you can use WorryTree and what you can expect from us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Agreeing to these terms does not replace any separate privacy consent required by law.
Accepting these terms does not mean you have agreed to marketing or optional processing of your personal information.
For existing users, material changes apply through the notice and agreement process described below, rather than simply because a revised version appears on our website.
What does WorryTree do?
WorryTree helps you record worries, reflect on thoughts and feelings, use journalling prompts and review your experiences. Some features use AI to suggest habits.
WorryTree is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent medical conditions. It does not provide therapy or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. We cannot promise a particular wellbeing outcome.
Please consult a healthcare professional about medical questions or treatment decisions. Do not use WorryTree to decide whether to start, stop or change treatment, or to delay getting professional help. If an exercise makes you feel worse, pause and seek appropriate support.
WorryTree is not an emergency service. Do not rely on journal entries, AI interactions or support messages to alert someone that you need urgent help. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
If you’re struggling and need to talk to someone now: in the US, call or text 988. In the UK and Ireland, call Samaritans on 116 123. In an emergency, call 911, 999 or 112.
How do I use my account?
Create an account using an available sign-in option, including email and password, Apple or Google. Please provide accurate account details, keep your sign-in information secure and do not share your account with others.
If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, email hello@worry-tree.com. Your responsibility to protect your sign-in details does not remove our responsibility to protect the service.
What are the rules for using WorryTree?
Please use WorryTree for your own personal, lawful purposes. You must not:
Access someone else’s account or information without permission.
Introduce malicious code, bypass security or payment controls, or deliberately disrupt the service.
Use WorryTree for fraud, harassment or infringement of another person’s rights.
Copy, resell or distribute the app or its materials except as permitted below.
Private journalling may include difficult feelings, intrusive thoughts or descriptions of upsetting experiences. Recording those experiences for reflection is not, by itself, a breach of these rules.
Who owns my entries and the app?
You keep ownership of what you add to WorryTree. You give us limited permission to store, copy, process and display it as needed to provide the features you use and follow your instructions, including through the providers described in our Privacy Policy.
This permission does not allow us to publish your private entries or use them in advertising. It does not replace any consent or other legal basis required for personal information.
WorryTree’s software, design, branding and other app materials belong to Calverra Holdings LLC or its licensors. We give you personal, non-exclusive permission to use the app under these terms and applicable app-store rules.
You may not copy, resell, redistribute, modify or reverse-engineer the app or its materials unless applicable law or a relevant licence permits it. This does not prevent you from using or obtaining a copy of your own content.
How do AI and connected features work?
WorryTree uses Google’s Gemini service to generate habit suggestions. When you use this feature, your goal, reason, target date and selected value are sent to Gemini. Anything you write in those fields is included. Your saved worry and emotional-weather entries are not sent automatically.
AI suggestions can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for you. Treat them as ideas to consider, not professional advice or instructions you must follow.
If you use linked-calendar reminders, a worry title can appear in your calendar. Check who else can access that calendar.
Our Privacy Policy explains the information involved and your choices.
How do payments, trials and renewals work?
Before you confirm a purchase, the purchase screen explains the included features, price and currency, billing period, applicable taxes and any trial or introductory offer.
If you choose an automatically renewing subscription, it renews for the period shown unless you cancel through the app store before its cancellation deadline. Any trial that becomes paid will explain when charging starts and what you will pay.
If you buy at an introductory price, such as a discounted first year, your subscription renews at the standard price shown on the purchase screen unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Payments are processed through Apple or Google. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the store account used to buy it:
Cancelling renewal normally lets you use the rest of the paid period. Different rules may apply to trials, refunds or immediate cancellation under local law. Check your store’s cancellation information, including when access will end.
Refund requests for store purchases can be made through the relevant store. Contact hello@worry-tree.com if you need help or believe WorryTree has not provided what you paid for.
Your legal cancellation rights and remedies for a faulty or misdescribed service still apply. The store’s payment process does not remove our legal responsibilities to you.
Any subscription price increase will be communicated in advance, with any consent required by law or the store. You can cancel renewal before the increased price takes effect.
How do I delete my account?
Request account deletion from the Profile section of WorryTree or email hello@worry-tree.com. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you. If you want a copy of your information, request it before deletion.
Please remember:
Deleting the app does not delete your account.
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account or entries.
Deleting your account does not necessarily cancel an app-store subscription. Check your Apple or Google subscription settings separately.
Our Privacy Policy explains deletion and any limited retention that may apply.
Can you suspend or close my account?
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a serious breach of these terms, fraud, a security threat or a legal requirement. Any restriction will be proportionate to the issue.
Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to put things right. We may act immediately if delay would create a serious risk or the law requires it.
If we discontinue WorryTree, we will give reasonable advance notice and explain how to request a copy of your information and what happens to your account. If we stop providing a prepaid service through no fault of yours, we will arrange an appropriate refund for the unused period, without limiting any additional legal rights.
What are your responsibilities to me?
We will provide WorryTree with reasonable care and skill. We cannot promise uninterrupted access, an error-free service or a particular wellbeing outcome.
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or something both you and we could reasonably have anticipated when you agreed to these terms.
WorryTree is for personal use. Subject to your mandatory legal rights, we do not accept responsibility for business losses, such as lost business profits or opportunities, or losses not caused by our breach or fault.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer and data-protection rights are unaffected.
What if WorryTree or these terms change?
We may update WorryTree or these terms to comply with law, address security or misuse, fix technical problems, maintain compatibility with devices or app stores, or introduce or improve features.
Some features may need a supported device or a recent app version. Installation of updates depends on your device and app-store settings.
We will identify material changes and explain when they take effect. For changes that materially affect your rights or the service you have paid for, we will normally give at least 30 days’ advance notice, by email or in the app. If an urgent legal or security issue requires less time, we will explain as soon as reasonably possible.
Where your agreement is needed, we will ask for it. If you do not accept a material change that reduces your prepaid service, you may end the affected service and receive an appropriate refund for the unused period. We will explain how to request your information before account closure.
Changes will not remove rights that have already arisen or override mandatory legal protections.
What if I got WorryTree from the App Store or Google Play?
These terms are between you and Calverra Holdings LLC only, not Apple. Calverra, not Apple, is responsible for WorryTree and its content.
Your licence to use WorryTree is non-transferable. On Apple devices, it covers Apple-branded products you own or control, as the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions allow, including Family Sharing where available.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for WorryTree.
If WorryTree fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for WorryTree. Any other claims, losses or costs from a failure to meet a warranty are Calverra’s responsibility, as these terms and the law provide.
Calverra, not Apple, is responsible for any claims by you or others about WorryTree or your use of it. That includes product liability claims, claims that WorryTree fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
If anyone claims that WorryTree or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, Calverra, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging the claim.
You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Please send questions, complaints or claims about WorryTree to Calverra Holdings LLC, 2631 Housley Road, PMB 1301, Annapolis, Maryland 21401, United States, or hello@worry-tree.com.
You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use WorryTree, such as your mobile carrier’s.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.
If you got WorryTree from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply to your download and purchases.
Which laws and courts apply?
These terms are governed by Maryland law and applicable United States federal law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away mandatory protections or rights under the law where you live.
Except where those protections give you the right to use another court, you and we agree that proceedings relating to these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts in Maryland with jurisdiction over the dispute.
If you live in the United Kingdom, the European Union or the EEA, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live. Where applicable law requires us to bring proceedings in your home courts, we will do so.
Nothing here prevents you from contacting a regulator or using another complaint or dispute-resolution route available by law.
That’s it!
